In Microsoft Word, there are five types of tabs available:
- Left Tab: This type of tab aligns text at the left margin. When you set a left tab, text will start from the tab position and extend to the right.
 - Center Tab: Center tabs are used to center-align text around a specific tab position. Text will be centered on the tab position.
 - Right Tab: Right tabs align text at the right margin. Text starts from the right tab position and extends to the left.
 - Decimal Tab: Decimal tabs are used to align numbers around a decimal point. When you set a decimal tab, the decimal point in the numbers will line up vertically.
 - Bar Tab: Bar tabs are used to create vertical lines or vertical bar separators at a specific tab position. They are commonly used to create tables or to separate columns of text.

To set or modify tabs in Microsoft Word, you can use the ruler at the top of the document or access the tab settings through the “Paragraph” dialog box.
