Windows Phone Toolkit – September 2012 Released

The Windows Phone Toolkit – September 2012 version of the Windows Phone Toolkit was released recently and is now available for download from codeplex.

What is Windows Phone Toolkit?

The Windows Phone Toolkit (Silverlight for Windows Phone Toolkit) provides the developers with additional set of components, controls and functionalities to speed up development. The Windows Phone Toolkit includes the open source code, samples, documentation etc.

The current version of Windows Phone Toolkit – September 2012 includes some new controls like

  • Custom Message Box
  • Rating Control
  • New transition effects
  • And more…

Another important point to be noted is the change of the name from Silverlight for Windows Phone Toolkit to Windows Phone Toolkit making it easy and shortened name πŸ™‚

There are also few bug fixes with the release.
