Visual Studio 2015 Tips and Tricks – Notification Enhancements

Visual Studio 2013 has brought in the Notification Window feature that provides notifications to the developers about their development environment and if some actions needs to be taken . For example , the notification window shows the message when there is an update available to Visual Studio.

The Notification window in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 RC (Release Candidate) has a nice feature enhancement. You can know about the Visual Studio crash (if any).

The Notifications are now categorized so that the users can easily identify it from the list. Now , it is easier to “Always Ignore” a particular notification message as well when you feel that it is not important to you.

The Notification window now shows a one line title . If you want to view the complete description , mouse hover on the title to display them.

    Hello,

    Do you know how to stop ignoring a specific notification. I mean, I clicked “Always ignore” and now I want to revert it back.

    Tools/Options/Notifications
    That will show you a list of those being ignored and you can re enable them
