ORA-01676: standby file name convert of ‘string’ exceeds maximum length of string

Reason for the Error

When the given file name is converted to the name used for the standby database, the converted name is bigger than the maximum allowed file name.

Solution

Change initialization parameter DB_FILE_STANDBY_NAME_CONVERT or LOG_FILE_STANDBY_NAME_CONVERT to convert to a valid file name.
