ORA-00018 – maximum number of sessions exceeded
Reason for the Error
Maximum number of sessions exceeded error, not able to connect to DB
An operation requested a resource that was unavailable. The maximum number of sessions is specified by the initialization parameter SESSIONS.
When this maximum is reached, no more requests are processed.
Solution
In a few minutes, try the procedure once more.
If you frequently receive this message, stop Oracle, increase the SESSIONS value in the startup parameter file, then restart Oracle.
