Microsoft is late to the game ??? Stop the Joke and see the Reality

Ever since the announcement of the Windows Phone 7 was made, I have been noticing that in some of the articles or views of the people telling that Microsoft is too late to the game .

How do people talk about it even before the phone is made available to the market ?? . How many phones get released every month and do people talk about all the smart phones that get released or just because it is Microsoft … i really dont know why 🙁

I see that the number of phone sales get increased day by day … and dont see any reason why the new Windows Phone 7 cannot succeed in the ever growing dynamic mobile market .
May be that the Windows Phone 7 lacks some nice features like copy and paste and multitasking … But wait a minute , the phone is newly launched and wait for some updates , you can see that there are already plans for the updates .

Check the following links for the information.

I feel that Microsoft has made the right decision on their new Windows Phone 7 Model and are now going to be big in the smart phone game . :))

The Windows Phone 7 looks promising and we need to just wait for just another few weeks to see how well it does with so many Applications in the Market place etc..

“Even if it comes late , it will come latest” .. Indians would know this popular dialogue from the superstar very well 😀 .

  2. I think it’s unclear exactly what this phone offers that other more established OS/phones don’t already offer. Those other phones that “get released every month” are really the same established OS’s with better hardware or on new carriers.

This isn’t new territory concerning Microsoft, either. IE wasn’t updated for years, and its feature set is still trying to catch up. Vista didn’t come out until about 5 years after XP. So the skepticism shouldn’t be -that- surprising.

Windows 7 phones are very nice and have a great app development story, but as we know from the video game market, market -timing- can be much more important than technical aspects. It remains to be seen, of course, but I’m skeptical too.

  3. No joking. WP7 is irrelevant. It’s a nice upgrade for many old windows phones, but nobody else want it. I can’t found anyone who want to buy it actually.

Microsoft has made the right decision, of course, but I feel they are going to be small in the smart phone game.

    In my opinion.

  4. You’re just as guilty of speculation by saying you believe its going to be big in the smartphone game as those saying they are too late.

Personally I don’t believe theres a such thing as too late. Anyone can jump in with a better product and turn the market their way. However WinPhone 7 is not that product. The only way I could see being wrong on that is if they play gaming right. And right now I do believe there is a wide open hole in the smartphone gaming market that no one has hit yet. I don’t believe MS will do anything to help anyone hit it. They’ll miss it like many other things. iOS with its native code and Android with Google TV integration stand a better chance of hitting the mark.
